Ben Narumbe

Benedict Narumbe, known to everyone as Ben, is a distinguished guide certified by the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association (KPSGA), achieving silver level (and working for gold!). His journey into guiding began under the mentorship of Anne Powys, a celebrated writer and botanist, known for her bush camp, Suyian Soul. Benedict's initial role at Suyian Soul as a waiter sparked his passion for the wilderness, leading him to pursue guiding full-time.

In 2015, Ben attained his bronze guiding certification and further honed his expertise through specialized courses in ornithology, botany, and entomology. His deepened understanding of East Africa's flora and fauna became foundational to his guiding philosophy.

Transitioning to Borana Lodge, Ben continued to excel, contributing to Borana's recognition as a leading GER (Gold Standard Eco-rated) property in Kenya. His commitment to sustainability and conservation included fostering eco-friendly practices and engaging with local communities to preserve indigenous cultures. This training in luxury lodges across Kenya means Ben is an excellent guide for guides looking to experience the best of the best.

Ben's knowledge extends beyond wildlife to encompass Kenya's diverse cultures, making him a sought-after guide for immersive safari experiences. His collaboration with Anne Powys and Dr. Dino Martins underscores his dedication to professional growth and environmental stewardship.

Now venturing into private guiding, Benedict has led numerous safaris with groups across East Africa, sharing his passion for nature and commitment to preserving Kenya's natural heritage.
